How Manisa came to be
Born in Rio de Janeiro.
Manisa started in Rio de Janeiro with a simple idea: use product thinking, engineering discipline, and applied AI to help real businesses work better.
I have kept Manisa intentionally small so the work stays close, the standards stay high, and every client works directly with the person building the system.
We build products, supervised AI systems, and operational tooling for companies that want to move fast without giving up control. That means designing not just the interface, but the permissions, review surfaces, and the logic that keeps the operation running day to day.
What we have shipped

História Desenhada — a live AI story product built by Manisa, with a public family-facing experience, payments, delivery, 8 supervised agents, 2,300+ completed agent runs, human review flows, and a separate institutional path on the same product base. It serves as both a shipped product and strong proof of how we build.
Operating Principles
Supervision over autonomy
We design systems with review, approval, and escalation paths instead of pretending automation should run unsupervised.

We prefer systems that can be traced, monitored, reviewed, and that recover when something goes off track.

Sam Estiévenart
Founder · Product engineering and AI systems
Sam Estiévenart is the founder of Manisa Tecnologia and a full-stack developer focused on digital products, supervised AI systems, and internal operational tooling. With more than 15 years in software engineering and a strong background in quality engineering, he combines speed, product thinking, and technical discipline to help companies build reliable systems and launch faster.
At Manisa, he works across product definition, frontend and backend development, AI integrations, internal operating layers, and delivery. His experience spans web applications, SaaS platforms, admin systems, landing pages, automation workflows, and AI-backed products, always with a practical focus on systems that hold up under real operating conditions.
Manisa is an independent studio founded and led by Sam in Rio de Janeiro.
